**The opportunity**

Reporting to the Director, Privacy Compliance, the incumbent will be primarily focused on providing Privacy Compliance advisory and escalated privacy incident management support to Manulife Canada.

You will have a broad range of responsibilities, focused on providing privacy risk management expertise, including:

- Leading privacy-related investigations and conducting required internal and external reporting of escalated privacy incidents
- Collaborating closely with privacy commissioners on complaints, privacy incident notifications, and other correspondence
- Assisting complaint handling teams with privacy-related complaints
- Providing support to Business Unit Compliance teams (and business areas directly, where appropriate) in by advising on sophisticated privacy-related matters and identifying privacy related risks and issues
- Coordinating with Business Unit Compliance and/or business areas on matters relating to Privacy Impact Assessments and reviewing Privacy Impact Assessments
- Conferring with Chief Privacy Officer and/or the Legal Department on high risk, contentious, litigious privacy issues, complaints, and requests
- Advancing and/or advising of unresolved privacy issues to Chief Privacy Officer and appropriate Business Unit Chief Compliance Officer(s)
- Assisting in the identification and management of privacy risks
- Keeping informed of privacy, data protection and cybersecurity legislative changes and regulatory reform impacting Manulife's Canadian business

**Salary range is expected to be between**

$65,775.00 CAD - $109,625.00 CAD
