**Role Responsibilities**:
The Ministry of Immigration and Multiculturalism has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Program Integrity Officer

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) is an economic immigration program operated by Alberta Immigration and Multiculturalism in cooperation with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
The Program Integrity Officer is responsible for overseeing the AAIP's Program Integrity and Anti-Fraud operations, the AAIP Program Integrity Officer contributes by focusing on decisions required across multiple lines of business within the AAIP, but primarily on internal referrals to evaluate complex casework requiring extensive investigation or reconsideration of negative decisions. Program Integrity Officers may require some supervisory responsibilities as a Lead on specific projects, and large multifaceted complex investigations that require a team of investigators and an extended timeframe for review. Program Integrity Officers are responsible for managing a large number of complex case files and making high-impact decisions according to program criteria and statutory requirements to select the global skills and business talent to meet Alberta's economic development needs.

**In your role as Program Integrity Officer, you will be responsible to**:
1. Participate Program Integrity and Anti-Fraud initiatives.
- Develop, recommend and implement proposals, plans, policies, procedures and practices that meet the objectives of Alberta Immigration and Multiculturalism's priorities to establish an effective Program Integrity and Anti-Fraud program.
- Leads and provides oversight on complex investigations pertaining to internal misconduct, including the monitoring of staff performance and actions, and where required, recommends the referral of files for regulatory and criminal investigations.
- Verify job offers/employer legitimacy and credentials of provincial nominee applicants by exchanging information with applicants, employers, education institutions, licensing bodies and professional associations internationally and within Canada, as required.
- Communicates program requirements to diverse stakeholders including nominee applicants, employers, and authorized representatives.

3. Participate in the evaluation of eligibility guidelines and program performance measures.
- Operationalize the risk management framework to strengthen a culture of security responsiveness.
- Conduct follow-up consultations and research with nominees, employers and other stakeholders to evaluate program effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement, continuation, or cessation of guidelines and criteria.
- Gather intelligence from ministry stakeholder provincial departments, post-secondary institutions, unions, professional and industry associations, employer groups and others on skill shortages.
- Identifies systemic issues, gaps, patterns, and trends related to misrepresentation and fraud for potential proactive regulatory action and improvements to policies, procedures, practices.

- Respond to inquiries and requests for information on the AAIP and other Canadian immigration programs.
- Prepares or provides contents for Briefing Notes (BNs), Action Requests (ARs), or speeches for senior management or Government Communications.
