**Senior Systems Administrator**

**Status**: Permanent Full Time
**Location**: Burlington, ON

Lifemark is seeking a new **Senior Systems Administrator** for the company Your responsibilities will include supervision of the daily operations and monitoring of system performance. You should have excellent troubleshooting abilities for network, hardware, and software. Success in this position will come from having the ability to administer and ensure the proper functioning of the software, hardware, server, and network, as well as

**Responsibilities**:

- Administer internal systems and interpret issues in them.
- Troubleshoot the issues that arise in the internal systems.
- Oversee the daily operations and the operation team.
- Configure servers and firewalls.
- Keep monitoring the system performance and ensure its proper working.
- Recommend ways to improve the network of computer systems.
- Upgrade the components of the system and update the technical documents.

**Role Specific Requirements**:

- Public and Private Cloud Architecture and Configuration
- Provide guidance in infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques
- Develop, maintain Private/Public cloud infrastructure
- Assist in Disaster Recovery planning both local and cloud infrastructure

**System Administration and Maintenance**:

- Perform installation, configuration and maintenance of software including operating system, patches, and 3rd party products.
- Provide support for tier 3 technical issues
- Provision and Maintain Server/Blade Server technologies primarily Dell
- Methodically troubleshoot issues using a variety of monitoring tools
- Configure, Maintain and develop backups
- Document processes and systems
- Office 365 (Exchange, AzureAD, Sharepoint, Teams etc)
- File / Print servers
- FTP Server / File transfer support
- Active Directory/DNS
- Experience Scripting (PowerShell/JSON)
- IIS
- SQL

**Networking Administration**:

- Firewall configuration experience is a must
- Understanding of Network topologies
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a LAN / WAN environment
- Site to site/Client VPN deployment, configuration & maintenance

**Requirements and Experience Required**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and other related courses.
- Working experience as a Senior System Administrator or in other similar roles.
- Good understanding of networks.
- Deep understanding of system security.
- Team management skills and good communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- 5+ Years of storage and virtualization experience in a mid-size to enterprise environment
- 5+ Years working with Windows Server Operating systems
- 2+ Years working with Firewalls required
- 2+ Years working with cloud service provider (Azure/AWS/GCP or other)
- Experience with Meraki and/or Palo Alto is beneficial
- Experience with Commvault is beneficial
