**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Assistant Controller will be accountable for the Financial Reporting, KPI’s and review the day to day operations with Director of Finance and Senior Management to assist in the growth and success of our various companies. This will include the production of monthly financial packages for all companies and ancillary reports, working with General Managers to assist in additional review and analysis and to provide financial support services where needed.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Produce timely and accurate monthly financial statements for EPLS Group companies as well as detailed reporting for divisions noted above.
- Provide financial analyses for the Construction and Services division, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions and contract negotiations
- Ensure financial statements have the required reconciliations and supporting documents to meet the annual audit requirements under ASPE
- To assist in the development of internal controls and best practices for the financial reporting groups
- To assist in the training and mentorship of the financial reporting and finance team members
- Maintenance of the chart of accounts and record keeping systems for the various companies
- To calculate operating metrics, key performance indicators and use of industry benchmarking to analyze results
- To assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts and provide monthly variance analysis
- To assist with ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- CPA, CMA or CA designation required
- Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
- Experience with financial reporting requirements
- Experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal combined with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to take initiative and aims to exceed performance expectations
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to provide direction to employees aspiring to become a CPA
- Must be an advanced user of Microsoft Office Products specifically Excel.
- Demonstrated Sage 300 proficiency or similar large accounting package software is required

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
