**Position Summary**

**Essential Job Functions**
- Monitor customer account balances and pursue collection on past due amounts as per Company policies
- Prepare and send account balance statements to customers
- Perform account reconciliations as needed
- Investigate customer deductions for validity and accuracy. Follow up with relevant stakeholders to obtain evidence to support deductions. Maintain and update dispute management system for invalid deductions
- Contribute to monthly and annual review of customer balances
- Respond to service support requests/inquires
- Serve as a primary contact for customer
- Liaise with various internal/external stakeholders as required to provide customer information and ensure smooth management of the collection and deduction management process
- Maintain and update training manuals

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Bi-lingual in English and French
- Post-secondary degree or diploma with a concentration on accounting/finance or related discipline
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills especially Excel
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Self-starter, with the ability to prioritize workflow and operate independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and high attention to detail
- Understands the general principles of accounting either through previous experience in a related role OR through post -secondary program.
- Ability to Monitor/create periodic reports and participate in identifying/maintaining KPI’s for management
- Experience managing large retail customers (Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire, K-Mart, Loblaw’s etc.)
- Experience in a CPG or Manufacturing industry
- Have worked on process improvements plans and implementations
- High interest in Shared Services career (either future or past employment history)
