ROA is knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of winter maintenance. Our client roster includes regional and municipal customers as well as high profile commercial properties throughout the GTA and surrounding areas.

We also provide a wide array of services such as float services, water truck services, mobile washing services as well as dump truck and loader rentals.

**Job Summary**

To effectively manage the safe dispatch of drivers of floats, water trucks, wash trucks and rental units. Provide problem resolution. Handle incoming service calls, prioritize and resolve issues as they arise. Communicate in a professional manner while interacting with customers, potential customers and operational staff. Professional, courteous and on time customer service is of the utmost importance.

**Key Functions and Responsibilities**:

- Point of contact for customer calls for service
- Effectively prioritize float moves
- Create and implement daily plans while maintaining the ability to adjust plan as issues arise
- Satisfy customer needs for service changes
- Plan loads and routes for the drivers and schedule their pickup and delivery appointments
- Alleviate down time by searching for back hauls
- Trouble shoot and resolve potential problems before they result in service issues
- Determine daily staffing needs to provide responsiveness and productivity
- Deal with break downs as needed by communicating with maintenance shop personnel
- Reconcile driver hours with Project Manager for invoicing purposes
- Dispatch of spare winter maintenance drivers

**Education and Work Experience**:

- A minimum of Grade 12 or with relevant work experience
- 1-2 years’ experience in construction dispatch
- Valid DZ or higher License
- MS Office

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Knowledge of transport and construction industry is a must
- Knowledge of Hours of Service/CVOR is a must
- Maintain a professional, positive and optimistic attitude
- Work well under pressure
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize work and make deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong planning skills

**Hours of Work**

Working hours would include days, some nights and weekends. This position also requires a 24/7 on call rotation for after hours with the on-call team.

Minimal within the GTA and surrounding areas

**Physical Environment**

90% office, 10% shop, maintenance yard

**Physical Demand**

Moderate intensity. Walking, sitting, lifting less than 5 lbs. occasionally. Consistent computer/laptop exposure.

High intensity. Consistent sustained levels of high impact/risk, focus, critical thinking.
