The City of Lethbridge Composting Facility is new Facility Construction located at the Lethbridge Waste & Recycling Centre. The Composting Facility was designed to process Green Cart Organics from 34,500 single-family homes, 7,500 multi-family residences, and industrial organics starting in the Spring of 2023. AIM is looking for a Skilled Laborer to join our current team.

**Skilled Laborer Profile**:

- Assist Operations team members with a variety of tasks and activities throughout all facilities and surrounding grounds.
- Perform traffic management and bay door operations to ensure Collections Trucks can enter, perform tasks, and exit the Facilities in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assists team members with daily inspections of receiving feedstock and separation of non
- compostable products and materials.
- Performs daily inspections and minor maintenance of mobile rolling stock and stationary equipment to ensure compliance, safety, and optimum performance.
- Participates in various labor activities and handy work including but not limited to cleaning, materials management and facilities maintenance and improvements based on defined expectations and deliverables.
- Collaborates with team members to assign daily tasks, prioritize activities, and deliver outstanding performance and quality.
- Complete all documents and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Lives the safety-first mandate with unquestionable ethics and discipline to health & safety best practices.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, respirator etc.) as required.

**Qualifications**:

- General labor experience in a similar environment is considered a strong asset.
- Experience working with Skidsteer, Aerial work platform is considered an asset
- Construction or heavy equipment background considered an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.

**Working Conditions**:

- Frequent exposure to excessive noise, dirt, and dust.
- Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Working at heights and confined spaces.
- Work is mostly inside facility but occasionally outside.
- Fast paced environment.
- Hours of work will be 44 hours per week with weekends included.
- Availability to work overtime and flexible shifts when required.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
