Skilled Labourer/first Year Apprentice

Lethbridge, Canada Nitro Construction Ltd. Full time

Nitro Construction is a full-service construction company providing both Construction Management Services and General Contracting. We are currently looking for Skilled General Laborer's/First Year Apprentices to perform skilled manual labor tasks including, but not limited to, loading, unloading, lifting, cleaning jobsites, and moving materials. Assist with a variety of functions throughout the course of construction. Working directly under the Foreman/Site Superintendent.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform trade skills, construction demolition, repair work, preparation, cleaning, and maintenance as required.
- Small framing tasks, installation of doors/hardware, and washroom accessories.
- Pick-up and deliver material as required.
- Lift heavy loads up to 70lbs and navigate construction job-site terrain.
- Perform set-up and clean-up tasks at the jobsite.
- Perform general maintenance of construction equipment and vehicles.
- Ensure work is conducted with proper safety restraints.
- Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.

**Qualifications**
- First Year Apprentice or 2+ years of construction industry experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures.
- Comfort working in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations.
- Ability to work with a variety of tools and machines.
- Preference given to those with current Standard First Aid, WHMIS, Forklift Operator Training, Mobile Aerial Platform Training.
- Must have a valid Alberta Driver's License.
- A positive attitude and work ethic is required.

Nitro Construction offers a competitive wage package which includes Benefits coverage after completion of a 3 month probationary period.

**Salary**: $16.00-$26.00 per hour
