Assistant General Manager

The
**Assistant General Manager** is responsible to coach all team members to build a strong performance-based business. This role will support the company goals and strategies of the Company Owned Operations.
**Essential Duties/Responsibilities**
- Recruit and coach team members, promote teambuilding and engagement in the office
- Attend company meetings and weekly GS&R’s
- Discuss financial/operational matters on a regular basis with finance personnel and General Manager
- Responsible for expense budget maintenance
- Review job reports, WIP, and customer relations with GM for backlog/contracts signed but jobs not started/flow of WIP/quality control/customer complaints.
- Discuss and review marketing plans and objectives with Sales lead
- Attend company business development events
- Participate and lead in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process of A players
- Responsible for coaching and developing A players with leadership development skills and position development skills
- Complete GS&R meetings with General Manager
- Participate in monthly required company meetings
- Implement, follow, and communicate company policies and procedures
- Ensure proper communication between departments
- Ensure compliance with Franchise Agreement and Operations Manuals
- Ensure compliance with third party administrator in respect to insurance guidelines
- Responsible for maintaining participation on insurance carrier programs
- Responsible for resolving escalated customer service matters
- Professionally represent the Paul Davis Restoration principles of honesty and integrity, Vision, Mission, Values and 10 Serving Basics
**Competency - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Able to operate internal systems; RMS and Xactimate, an asset
- Knowledge of the restoration industry
- Knowledge and ability to read and write mitigation and reconstruction estimates
- Knowledge of Project Management
- Knowledge of business development
- Customer Service Skills
- Communication skills (verbal and written)
- Coaching skills
- Problem Solving skills
- Situational Leadership skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and manage financial statements
- Ability to manage, lead, and coach a staff within an operation
- Ability to work office equipment (fax, scanner, printer, phone system, computers)
- Ability to work in a team environment and develop staff, and work independently
- Ability to coordinate and manage jobs within the same time frame
- Ability to promote and sell our company and service

**Education and Experience**
- Two plus years’ experience in restoration or construction field
- Two plus years’ experience in a management role, Project Management and/or Estimator role
- Experience with reading and interpreting financial statements
- Sales experience, an asset
- Leadership Development Trainings
- IICRC certifications, an asset.
