**1 ‑ Full Time ‑ Lung Screening Navigator**
**Ontario Lung Screening Program**
Reporting the Manager, Prevention and Screening Clinical Services, the Lung Screening Navigator will be
responsible for providing patient assessment, coordination of screening, follow up and recall appointments, and
patient education to patients within the Ontario Lung Screening Program (OLSP). The Lung Screening Navigator will
work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure all requirements of the OLSP are met.
The Ontario Lung Screening Program is Ontario's organized screening program for people who are at high risk of
getting lung cancer and qualify to get screened. Lung screening offers a low dose CT to screen for lung cancer as
directed by the Ontario Lung Screening Program (OLSP) to eligible individuals in northwestern Ontario.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
- Degree or diploma in a health related field (i.e. Bachelor of Science, Practical Nursing, Medical Laboratory
Technology, etc.).
- Current unencumbered license or registration from applicable regulatory body (i.e. College of Nurses of Ontario,
College of Medical Laboratory Technologists)
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and administrative skills, including the ability to set priorities, establish timeframes and
organize resources
- Strong strategic, analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in groups, one‑on‑one, and in writing
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, including community
partners
- Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Previous experience working with culturally diverse populations, strong working knowledge of healthcare systems
and community resources.
Salary Range: $35.674 to 41.970
