**Rate of Pay: $47.49 - $59.36 per hour**

**Location: Thunder Bay, Ontario**

Reporting to the Clinical Director - Community Mental Health, the Clinical Manager provides leadership to the Chronic Pain Management Program, ECHO - Chronic Pain and Opioid Stewardship and CMH Clerical support team. This accountability includes standards of client care, staff development and supervision, quality improvement initiatives, financial planning and control and management of the work environment. The Clinical Manager facilitates interprofessional collaboration within the teams and acts as a role model, mentor and coach to all team members with the goal of optimizing client care and staff experiences..

**Qualifications**:
**Education/Experience**:

- Four year degree in related discipline (healthcare, education, public health)
- Minimum of five years progressive experience working in a healthcare or educational environment
- Extensive knowledge and skills with quality improvement methodology
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret applicable provincial legislation and related regulations, accreditation and professional standards and practices, safety regulations; and related mental health best practices

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with private and public officials, subordinates, co-workers, and community partners
- Ability to identify, understand, and meet/exceed the requirements of internal and external customers
- Ability to think and act strategically in a healthcare sector environment, including the ability to conceptualize and implement change strategies
- Excellent project/time management, quality improvement, analytical/critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to improve effectiveness and efficiency through the management and utilization of human, financial, and physical resources
- Strong leadership skills including the ability to direct, motivate, evaluate, and recognize staff; proven ability to share skills and knowledge with others
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Self-directed with an ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Competent within the meaning of the Occupational Health & Safety Act

**Assets**:

- Experience in project management
- Experience in web-based learning technology and use of videoconferencing equipment
