Pope Plumbing is looking for a Mechanical Estimator/Project Coordinator.
- Estimate preparation for costs of labour, equipment, materials, subcontractors and produce a final tender submission.
- Complete full quantity take off of all labour, materials and equipment required to complete the project as per contract specifications to ensure accuracy of pricing.
- Review scope of work prior to issuing to subcontractors and submit with RFQ.
- Provide direction on the scope and requirements to the the suppliers and subcontractors based on specifications included RFQ document.
- Solicit pricing from subcontractors and suppliers for labour, equipment, and material, to find the most competitive pricing, ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Review subcontractors pricing, inclusions, exclusions or qualifications for price evaluation and subcontractor selection.
- Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Complete a final bid submission review and oversee the final tender document submission to the client.
- Travel to job sites for bid and project kick off meetings and oversee jobs and write progress report.
- Adhere to all company and client policies and procedures.
- Obtain and submit quotations for changes to project scope.

Qualifications:

- Experience in preparing estimation proposals.
- General construction knowledge and the integration of other trades word, understands specifications, methods and procedures.
- Proven competency in the operation of key software and productivity tools such as MS Office (particularly Excel).
- Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet the critical deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task and to work independently and self -monitor workload.
- Professional, approachable and customer-service oriented.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Class G Drivers' licence.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Expected hours: 40 per week
