**Location**: Ray Lewis Elementary; 27 Jessica St, Hamilton, ON L8W 4A1
**Total Weekly Hours**:26.25 per week
**Schedule**:Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 9:30 am and 3:15 pm to 6:00 pm
**Pay Rate (per Collective Agreement, includes wage grants)**:$20.93 per hour

- Who We’re Looking For_
**Experience**
- Practical experience supporting children with a variety of needs, including physical, behavioral, and mental health challenges; this may include children on the autism spectrum and those with medical needs.

**Education**
- Minimum Secondary School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Personal Support Worker program or similar course is an asset

**Certifications**
- Standard First Aid with CPR level C
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Proof of up-to-date immunizations (TB, Tetanus, MMR)

**Skills & Characteristics**
- Knowledge of _How Does Learning Happen?_ is an asset
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and professionally with children, families, and staff
- Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with equipment and devices
- A dedicated advocate for diversity, equality, and inclusion
- Capable of working independently and as part of a dynamic team
- Key Responsibilities:_
- Play a key role in supporting children, families, and staff where additional resources are needed.
- Work closely with program staff to implement classroom and child management techniques
- Assist with documentation and updates on Individual Support Plans (ISPs)
- Collaborate in alignment with _How Does Learning Happen?_ to ensure a holistic and supportive environment for each child
