**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- **Surface preparation**: Clean and prepare structural steel surfaces for painting by removing dirt, rust, grease, using appropriate tools and techniques.
- **Material Handling**: Safely move and position steel material using lifting equipment such as cranes, forklifts to ensure efficient workflow and prevent damage to the materials.
- **Quality Control**: Inspect painted surfaces for defects, such as runs, or uneven coverage, and make necessary touch-ups.
- **Safety compliance**: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while working on in the workshop environment.
- **Equipment Maintenance**: Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot painting equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning.
- **Documentation**:Maintain accurate records of material used, work performed, and time spent on each project.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**:Prior experience as a Structural Steel Painter or a similar role is highly preferred. Familiarity with the painting process for steel structures is essential.
- **Knowledge**: Solid understanding of different painting techniques, equipment, and materials used in structural steel painting
- **Safety Awareness**: Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines and procedures. Knowledge of safety practices related to handling materials, and operating lifting equipment.
- **Physical Fitness**: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy steel materials.
- **Team Player**:Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- **Time Management**: Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
- **Flexibility**:Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends as required by the project schedules.
