**About the Opportunity**
The Building Builders Mentorship Program requires an organized individual with multi-tasking capabilities and outstanding communication skills to join our team as a Mentorship Program Advisor.

The Building Builders Mentorship Program Advisor will manage the relationships between mentors and mentees **REMOTELY**, providing assessments, and skills development. The advisor will develop and maintain relationships with participants in an assigned geographical area.

The advisor will be working independently anywhere within Greater Vancouver and report to the Provincial Program Manager. The position requires self-initiative and discipline to achieve program targets.

**Job Tasks**
- Use analytical and decision-making skills to assess the individual needs of mentees and pair them with suitable mentors
- During the mentoring process, advisors assist participants in developing relationships
- Facilitate orientations in person and virtually with program participants
- Assist eligible participants in eventual employment placement
- Organize training sessions/workshops where mentors/mentees can interact
- Liaise between employers and workers to assure a positive work site match
- Manage all client case files according to program requirements and deliverables. Update databases and internal spreadsheets to ensure reporting are accurate.
- Answer questions and provide information about the program to prospective participants
- Conduct exit surveys with mentees to measure satisfaction with the program and assess future plans in the construction industry
- Attend job fairs, events and other outreach to network and promote the program
- Communicate with other BCCA programs to facilitate appropriate program referrals
- Other duties as assigned.

Key Accountabilities
- Complete and submit all required reporting documents per program requirements
- Track and follow up on all action items related to the program’s delivery
- Represent the BCCA in a professional manner

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in employment training and counselling and or human resources
- Awareness of employment trends and key projects within the region
- Knowledge of the construction labour market as an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Effective organization, multitasking, and time management skills
- Excellent oral, written, and communication skills are essential
- Comfortable with public speaking and networking
- Knowledge of local employment service providers would be an asset
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Requires minimum supervision, able to work independently
