**How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team**:
Reporting directly to a Senior Project Manager, Restoration Projects, the Coordinator supports the Managers, Project Managers, and Environmental Technologists in project planning, securing approvals, writing procurements and agreements, and preparing reports on restoration projects and programs across TRCA’s jurisdiction. This position has a particular focus on project coordination, planning, governance, and reporting of restoration projects under TRCA Ecosystem Compensation Program. Overall, this position contributes to the Strategic Plan objectives of healthy rivers and shorelines and greenspace and biodiversity.
- Identify and review restoration opportunities information and provide project suggestions to satisfy compensation offset requirements
- Ensure compliance with TRCA procurement and agreement requirements for the initiation of contracts, agreements, and procurement of materials and services.
- Coordinate the development of agreements, Memoranda of Understanding (MOU’s), contracts, etc, and understand which template is needed for which situation.
- Coordinate and prepare proposals for partnership agreements, grants, and other non-traditional sources of funding.
- Help facilitate municipal project approvals and assist with coordination of internal and other agency approvals and permits as needed.
- Prepare mapping using GIS software for a variety of reports and communications.
- Work closely with other TRCA groups to maintain Map Viewer products and database information
- Draft internal and external correspondence, project briefs, the annual compensation program summary report, Authority communications and reports of a general nature.
- Assist with the development of internal and external presentations for key projects for Manager or Project Manager to deliver at public meetings, stakeholder meetings, internal working groups, Executive Committee meetings and the Authority Board meeting.
- Assist with compensation project plan preparation, checklist start-up and completion forms, task scheduling, internal and external project communications, and deliverables tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate the production of signage, project messaging, including proof reading and editing of reports.
- Assist with Compensation Program Management including updates to the Guideline and cost typical for restoration works.

**What will you need to succeed**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in environmental sciences or related field.
- Minimum 2 years' experience related to major tasks, in one or more of the following fields: restoration ecology, resource management, environmental sciences, fish and wildlife management or related field.
- Knowledge of aquatic and terrestrial restoration ecology, fish and wildlife and habitat requirements and relevant regulatory legislation.
- Experience writing requests for proposals/quotations, procurements, and invoicing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent report and proposal writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public.
- Effective problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency with software experience (ArcGIS, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Teams).
- Valid Ontario G driver’s license.
