**How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team**:
Under the guidance and direction of the Project Manager, Trail Design and Development, the Coordinator, Trail Design and Development will support the planning and implementation of a wide range of trail and park development projects across TRCA’s jurisdiction. This position provides guidance and direction to employees or external contractors during implementation to ensure cost and quality control. Overall, this position plays an integral role in the delivery trail projects.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Draft project management documents and report on project activities as requested.
- Coordinate with other departments to assign tasks and obtain feedback.
- Prepare detailed costing and implementation timelines for approved projects.
- Create maps and other visual products to support the development of presentations and marketing materials.
- Coordinate the procurement of goods and services.
- Lead the preparation of RFQs and RFPs
- Track and report on deliverables for program and budget reporting
- Assist with the tracking of expenditures of approved capital and special projects.
- Coordinate start-up meetings and provide context and oversight to external contractors.
- Accompany TRCA staff on site visits during planning, implementation, close-out phases.

**What will you need to succeed**:

- 3 years’ post-secondary education in either environmental planning, geomatics, geography, landscape planning and/or design, resource management, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience related to the major tasks including: project management, budgeting and cost control, procurement and contract management, detailed design development, trail and/or landscape design/construction.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of environmental permitting and legislation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public.
- Excellent computer proficiency with software experience (Microsoft (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Project), ArcGIS).
- Ontario Driver’s License (G)
