Accounting & Payroll Clerk

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting & Payroll Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting and Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing bi-weekly payroll, answering employee inquiries as well as assisting our Accounts Receivables clerk with invoicing.
**Duties**:
- Generate and send out invoices to customers
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, invoices, and payment details
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable
- Utilize financial software systems such as QuickBooks
- Reviewing time-keeping entries
- Preparing bi-weekly payroll report
- Processing and submitting payroll entries for 200+ employees on a bi-weekly basis
- Creating and distributing yearly T4 slips
**Skills**:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries or concerns
- Proficient in data entry with excellent attention to detail
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate calculation of payments, discounts, and interest charges
- Knowledge of phone etiquette when interacting with customers and employees over the phone
- Familiarity with financial services software such as QuickBooks or Desjardins Employer D
- Ability to analyze accounts for discrepancies and take appropriate action

**Pay**: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
**Expected hours**: 44 per week
