Poultry in Motion Coordinator

Abbotsford, Canada BC Chicken Growers' Association Full time

The position will operate out of the BC Chicken Growers’ Office in Abbotsford.

**Job Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Arranging and delivering classroom foods presentations 2 times a week
- Delivering Poultry in Motion trailer to primary school presentations when requested
- Arranging and presenting primary school presentations
- Overseeing the development of marketing material for Poultry in Motion presentations
- Updating the Poultry in Motion website with event dates and new educational material
- Delivering the Poultry in Motion minibarn trailer and/or attending summer fairs and community events as requested

**Qualifications Required**:

- Level 1 Food Safe or equivalent
- Cleared Criminal Record Check
- Website management
- Marketing and Project Management
- Experience in teaching, coaching or presenting in a classroom or similar settings
- Knowledge of the chicken industry and how chicken is raised in British Columbia
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Experience in agriculture and/or the poultry industry

**Assets**:

- Demonstrates an ability to be highly organized and respond to booking requests in a professional and timely manner
- Understanding of Supply Management and its role in creating a sustainable food supply to Canadians
- Reliable and trustworthy, able to work unsupervised
- Vehicle to transport the Lower Mainland minibarn trailer to events when requested
- Charismatic presenter who enjoys working with youth
- Enjoys cooking and teaching the art of cooking to youth
- Must own reliable transportation and be willing to travel to regions within the Lower Mainland, Interior and Island.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 23 per week

**Benefits**:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
