The successful applicant will have a strong work ethic, ability to lift, move and transport materials, have knowledge of machines and tools, a basic understanding of maintenance, and complete project duties in a timely and efficient manner. You will assist skilled overhead door specialists and perform numerous activities at job sites such as preparing job sites, moving materials and equipment, assisting in the maintenance and installation of doors, levelers, and other equipment, and will perform other activities as required. No specific experience required, but a willingness to learn is a must as we are hopeful that the successful applicant will grow with us into a skilled overhead door specialist.

**General Duties**:

- Remove or replace defective doors or openers and install new door systems and openers.
- Provide service and maintenance to doors and systems, as directed.
- Install dock seals and bumpers, test operating systems, use hand tools to cut holes in floors for door installation and wind large springs.
- Install tracks and springs, ensure proper functioning, calibrate and set electric garage door openers.
- Load and unload equipment and material to various work areas.
- Prepare and clean up job sites by clearing and removing obstacles/hazards, leftover debris, etc.
- Operate and care for multiple types of handheld tools.
- Maintain an organized and safe working environment.
- Effectively follow instructions from supervisors when provided. Follow all safety and management procedures as required.
- Further tasks, as required.

**Job Requirements**:

- Ability to perform strenuous physical labour.
- Ability to lift 70 lbs or more.
- Ability to work in an all-weather environment.
- Ability to perform specified duties.
- Excellent team player.
- Excellent initiative to start and complete projects.
- Excellent work ethic and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

**Requirements**:

- A valid driver’s license is an asset.
- A basic understanding of repairing machines and systems, and installation procedures will be considered an asset.
- Work experience in a related field or in another trade will be considered an asset.
- Trade certification is a strong asset, but not required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
