Areas of focus include retail store, designated tasting & experience areas, group business/functions and events - both onsite and occasional offsite. This role also provides leadership and supervision of the tasting room team._ **_ What we Offer:_** - Competitive salary with medical/dental benefits as well other incentives - Training and education in various aspects of ultra-premium wines - Work in an innovative, fun, and engaging environment that focuses on a "One Team" mentality - Employee gift card to be used on our retail products, restaurant, or experiences - Access to our Employees Assistance Program, Learning Library and Development Seminars **_What you Offer:_** - 2+ years retail or hospitality management experience preferably in a Hospitality/Tourism or luxury retail environment - Event sales and event execution experience - Serving it Right Certification - WSET or ISG/CAPS or CMS certification an asset - Food safety certification an asset - Education in Business/Marketing or Hospitality/Tourism Management program an asset - Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; with a focus on Word and Excel - Proven people leadership, coaching, listening, communication, supervision, project management, teamwork, and organizational skills - First Aid certificate an asset **_ This teammate will be responsible for: _** - Develops and executes business strategies to meet/exceed financial (including Wine Club sales) objectives for property Retail function including: - Managing gross margin, operating expenses (including revenue labour spend - via management of staff levels and scheduling) - Responsibility for achieving annual revenue targets; including accessory and Wine Club sales targets - Responsibility for accounting control including inventory control, and bank reconciliation - Responsibility for cash management/reconciliation - Development and execution of all property wine guest experience programming; reviewing on an ongoing basis to maximize revenue yield and guest satisfaction - Working closely with Buyer-Accessories to develop/execute accessory merchandising - Personally engaging in hosting VIP visits from internal stakeholders and external media and influencers - Develops and executes business strategies to meet/exceed financial objectives for external and internal events: - Event package development - Banquet Event Orders - Working relationship with culinary team at The Lookout (Chef/Event Chef) - Responsible for business analysis of: - Property Retail & Experience monthly P&L statements; including responding to discoveries - Industry/consumer trends to develop new revenue opportunities; including providing feedback to Buyer-Accessories role on business trends and consumer feedback - Provides daily leadership in a Management capacity including; - Opening and closing duties/responsibilities, supervising/delegating functions - Driving daily sales targets for wine, experiences, Wine Club and accessories - Recruiting, On boarding, and coaching to direct reports to ensure performance/talent/service excellence among all team members; recognizing when to engage Human Resources to assist with performance management concerns - Developing and delivering ongoing product training to property Retail & Experience team - Ensuring DayForce/payroll is up to date and accurate for Retail & Experience and providing payroll with required information for processing (including new hire information and notification of end of employment) - Managing maintenance or replacement of Retail equipment and fixtures when/where required - Responding efficiently and effectively to guest concerns/complaints - Maximizes revenues per guest transaction (including up-selling) via a solid understanding of: - Property wines / accessories / experiences / Wine Club membership benefits / events - All Estate Wine Group properties - Ensures a Safe and Healthy Work Environment by ensuring alignment with Company Respect in the Workplace Policy in addition to the effective operation of the Health and Safety program and Joint Health and Safety Committee and ensures compliance with government regulations An
