**What we expect**:
**Your responsibilities**
- Process weekly payrolls, union, non-union and salary
- Ensure all government and third-party payments are issued accurately, weekly & monthly
- Prepare weekly journal entries pertaining to payroll
- Perform year end activities; balance, prepare and issue year end documentation for all provincial and federal requirements
- Prepare monthly government statements as required (Stats Canada)
- Review to ensure all new hire and terminations are processed accordingly
- Identify process improvement initiatives and define standards for new processes
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned

**Who we are looking for**:
**Your qualifications**
- Minimum 3 years of payroll experience; preferably in a fast-paced unionized environment
- PCP Certified or in progress
- 3 years’ experience with ADP WFN and Oracle is preferred
- Strong understanding of Payroll, HR, processes, and data, including CBA agreements and benefit procedures
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communications
- Ability to exercise good judgement in high pressure, sensitive situations
- Ability to meet aggressive deadlines
- Strong time management skills
- Intermediate MS Office skills
