**Responsibilities**
- Accomplishes construction crew results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Build and develop the team through coaching, training, and disciplining employees;
- Work with the Construction Manager insofar as initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within the team.
- Completes construction plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems.
- Maintains quality management by establishing and enforcing organization standards and client / industry specifications and codes.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Read construction drawings and measure and install products according to their requirements.
- Read and understand job specifications and build as laid out in them.
- Promote a culture of quality and safety across the organization.
- Ability to properly use required hand tools, power tools, hoists cranes, measuring devices and testing equipment.
- Ensure that daily carpentry tasks are done in accordance with building code and regulations.
- Inspect and maintain the work area and tools machines that were used during the day prior to leaving at the end of each shift.
- Attend and actively participate in daily safety requirements.
- Champion health and safety on all sites and ensure adherence to the corporate safety program.
- Responsible to ensure housekeeping is throughout the task you are preforming.

**Qualifications**
- 4+ years of experience in supervisory role
- Carpentry (journeyman certificate is an asset but not a requirement)
- Valid driver’s licence
- Prefab building experience
- Experience with power tools
- Physically fit and capable of performing labour tasks
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, and details from shop drawings
- Ability to drive change and initiate system improvements
- An effective leader who can build a great team.
- Ability to work at heights, using step ladder, scissor lift, telescopic boom, etc.
