**About SPRINT Senior Care**:
**SPRINT Senior Care **began caring for seniors and enabling seniors to care for themselves in 1983. We continue to do so today as an accredited, not-for-profit community support service agency in Toronto by offering a wide range of practical and low-cost services to seniors and their caregivers.
Our services help seniors stay safe, connected, and live as independently as possible. They also prevent premature or inappropriate institutionalization.

Bargaining Unit Position; Full-Time, Contract (Contract Length: 8 Weeks)

Adult Day Program (In Person)
**Reports To**:
Manager, Adult Day Program
**What You’ll Do**:
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and delivery of department
- activities.
- Assist with gentle exercise programs and food security programs,
- Assist with virtual programs
- Socialize with clients
- Helping with setting up, serving and cleaning up for meal and wellness programs
- Assist with administrative tasks and projects
- Attend and participate in team meetings and training sessions
- Provide feedback as to how to improve programs and services
- Prepare communications and program materials
- Maintain and update digital records
- Other tasks as assigned
**What You’ll Bring**:
- Enrolled in or completed a post-secondary Health, Activation, Recreation, Kinesiology, Social Work, Social Service Worker or Gerontology program.
- Experience working with seniors and persons with dementia is an asset.
- Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
This position is made possible through Canada Summer Jobs, an initiative of
Employment and Social Development Canada. To be eligible for these positions, participants must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment;
- Be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
**Wage**:
$17.55 per hour
**Schedule**:
8 hour shift
