Rogers is seeking a **Manager, Infrastructure Operations, Central Region** to join the Access Networks team.
This position is responsible for the efficient management of the administration and operations of the Wireless Civil and Headend Facilities departments. This includes all human resources issues, compliance with company, government and technical requirements, development and monitoring capital and expense budgets, project implementation and resolution of problems.
This individual will also work closely with third party vendors at other Rogers Facilities to ensure that all site documentation is kept up to date
**What you will be doing**:
- Coach and develop a team of support specialists
- Ensure the proper division of work and adherence to the regional business plan
- Participate in human resources matters; including recruitment, performance management, WCB claims administration, payroll and other general administrative issues
- Administer/ support all wireless and wireline maintenance subcontracts
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed by all team members
- Proactively interface and coordinate with other departments to facilitate major business projects. Assist with special projects as needed
- Share responsibility for the regional network performance improvement including issuing work to vendors as required
- Ensure that all company, regional and departmental goals and results are communicated to all employees
- Review and approve routine invoices and matters related to capital and expense budget, overseeing payments to vendors, creating/closing purchase orders, processing of invoices for payment
- Develop and monitor operating and capital budgets, ensuring that all required site repair work is being managed to completion
- Forecast, track and report on OPEX and Ops-driven capital activities that support site and facility maintenance
- Manage data and requirements for annual network capital, general capital and OPEX budget submissions
- Support vendor maintenance and third party activities such as tower maintenance, HVAC, generator, weed control, and 3rd party in-bound co-locate programs
- Support district and regional business continuity and disaster recovery plans and ensure alignment with national DRP
- Manage regional site access and security programs via standard lock controls
- Support the decommissioning of equipment and the disposal of obsolete and excess inventory
- Provide management with possible site and facilities improvements of costs or value
- Some travel is required through the region
**What you will bring**:
- Previous experience in wireless and cable operations, preferably in several functional areas
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and communicate effectively
- Experience in coaching and developing staff would be an asset
- Knowledge of wireless/cable/fibre technology would be an asset
- Strong project management and budget preparation/tracking skills are required with strong presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proven analytical, problem solving and organizational ability
- Highly motivated and adaptable
- Excellent computer skills with strong Office Suite abilities
- Post-secondary education in telecommunications or related field
- Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree would be an asset
