Brampton, Canada Metro Infrastructure Inc Full time

This position requires close interaction with Metro Infrastructure’s civil team, design team, permitting team, survey team and splicing team. You will be involved in a full project’s life-cycle, from start to completion.

**Responsibilities**
- Understand and follow customer provided procedures to deliver Fiber to the Home, Centralized and Distributed splitting architecture, splicing and other aspects and technology of fiber networks
- Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets
- Monitor and maintain customer design processes and procedures.
- Perform weekly team meetings
- Hands-on design and QC work
- Prepare project reports and provide milestone updates on a regular basis
- Work closely with Design / Draw team, CAD Staff, Project Coordinators and other internal resources to execute projects within a timely fashion, whilst maintaining budgetary restraints
- Assist in the hiring, training and mentorship of staff for fibre, and possibly coax, or copper design
- Interpret field survey to determine Scope of Work required. (Cable route planning & survey of routes for feasibility of construction)
- Ensure surveyors are collecting all required information and equipment from field
- Understand and communicate Municipal Consent requirements with the Permit Department and Coordinators in order to gather and provide accurate information with regards to permit packages
- Determine method to design the plant changes with mínimal impact to the system/customer and minimize related construction cost and ensures quality of design

**Qualifications**:

- Excellent leadership, customer relations and communications skills
- Minimum 5+ years Designing or Managing a team designing Fiber networks including FTTx, Architecture, Segmentation (and other uplift), and green field design.
- Knowledge of customer mapping and draw tools
- Knowledge of CSA standards, MCR and utility standards, ESA 2204
- AutoCAD and software-based spreadsheets and databases would be an asset.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Project).
- Strong analytical skills

- Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing and highly energetic environment;
- Ability to work under pressure in meeting project deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
