At Sinai Health, we care, create possibilities and offer hope. We are looking for an experienced **Medical Education Assistant** to support **Family Medicine Department** at the Mount Sinai Hospital Site.

Responsibilities include:

- Administrative support for all departmental communications efforts.
- Organizing and administering undergraduate programs delivered on behalf of the Department of Family and Community Medicine of the University of Toronto at the hospital.
- Providing support for undergraduate and Slaight program meetings as needed.
- Maintains electronic calendar and schedules, maintains filing system, and coordinates the day-to-day operations in the department.
- Manages day-to-day administrative activities including arranging meetings, room and catering bookings, agenda setting and minute taking.
- Provides support needed to execute departmental communications strategy.
- Develops monthly waiting room TV programming and website update content.
- Provides support to faculty in preparing posters and presentations related to scholarly work.
- Assists with development of materials for patient education.
- Coordinates production and dissemination of newsletter.
- Organizes departmental-wide events as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Job Requirements- Successful completion of a college diploma in a related field from an accredited educational institution.
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent and related experience in a healthcare or educational environment.
- Advanced technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to use software for desktop publishing, presentation creation & website updates.
- Superior organization skills and ability to prioritize competing tasks.
- Superior work ethic, professionalism, dependability and reliability.
- Ability to make decisions, exercise judgment and take initiative in dealing with confidential information and/or in responding to inquiries.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, excellent interpersonal and professional skills, ability to work with established team and independently as required.
- Flexible with ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multitasking and dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history.
