**POSITION OVERVIEW**

We are currently looking for a full-time Medical - Hand Soldering Technician to join our dynamic team during the afternoon shift on-site at our Markham location. The Medical - Hand Soldering Technician is responsible for soldering small electronic medical devices together (i.e., wires) with a hand soldering tool and a microscope, to ensure that medical equipment wiring is assembled and soldered correctly.
- Full-time/permanent position
- Monday - Friday work week
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Hours of Work: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Manually assemble and hand solder medical devices together as assigned, in a production setting
- Glue and adhere very small items together with precise requirements.
- Meet daily quotas of assembly work ensuring completed items meet company’s high-quality standards.
- Prepare devices for shipment to other departments and/or facilities.
- Utilize soldering equipment and tools to ensure reliable connections are made so that medical devices work as expected.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- 1+ years’ experience working with a hand soldering iron or SMT soldering.
- Previous experience working repetitively with very small parts (i.e., needles, wires, casings etc.)
- Post secondary education in a related field is an asset.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting and meeting quotas is a must.
- Ability to follow detailed instruction and learn on the job.
- Previous experience using a microscope to solder small and fine items is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
