**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Prototype Manager, the Manufacturing Readiness Coordinator role includes but is not limited to preparing customer-supplied designs for purchasing and manufacturing, reviewing designs for completeness, validating documents against physical samples, and collaborating with account managers and designers to implement changes. Responsibilities also include creating bills of materials, material order lists, DXFs, step files, and maintaining material cut lists. Additionally, the individual assists with design revisions, CNC sheet nesting and programming, and provides feedback for process improvement.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare customer supplied designs for release to purchasing and manufacturing.
- Support internally developed design releases as required.
- Review supplied designs for completeness of information and follow up as needed with account managers.
- Complete design review check sheet for supplied designs and identify potential issues or opportunities for improvement.
- Validate customer supplied documents against physical samples.
- Work with account managers designers to implement design changes as required.
- Create Bill of Materials and Material Order Lists from supplied information.
- Create DXFs, step files or other files as needed for purchasing and mfg.
- Create and maintain material cut lists.
- Create bend drawings as needed using Solidworks.
- Submit and complete Design ECRs related to Prep. Completion of minor design revisions following SOPs.
- Assist with development of CNC sheet nesting and tube laser programming.
- Work with machine operators on development of bending tables, calculators, and flat patterns.
- Provide regular feedback to design.
- Input into development and improvement of processes, systems, and standards.
- Offer expertise and experience in brainstorming discussions.
- Support Corporate/Departmental policies & procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment (required).
- Minimum 1+ years of experience with Solidworks, Sigmanest, MasterCAM and/or other CAD software (required).
- General Knowledge of metal fabrication, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Read, Write, Interpret, and Create engineering drawings and documentation.
- Experience with automotive racking, or packaging (preferred).
- Experience with product design and development (preferred).
- Experience in metal fabrication is considered (preferred).
- Experience with the following equipment (preferred): Horizontal band saw, Cold Saw, CNC Sheet, Tube Laser, Break Presses, CNC Router tables, CNC Water Jet tables
- Diploma or degree in Engineering technology (preferred).
- Self-Motivated, and a willingness to learn.
- Creative, methodical thinker and problem solver.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Thrives in fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Effective communicator.
- Positive attitude.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
- Proficient with basic measuring tools and techniques (Tape measures, Vernier Calipers).
- Proficient with Imperial and Metric units.
