- **Overall Responsibility**:_

The Lead Prep is responsible for the overall operation of their section as far as mise en place, cleanliness, and overall quality. They work under the guidance of the Executive Chef and Sous Chef(s) to ensure the highest standard of prep quality and food production is delivered. They pride themselves in delivering the highest quality production, following carefully crafted recipes and using premium ingredients. They play an avid role in teamwork and act as a trainer and mentor to new prep and line cooks alike.

A strong knowledge of food and operational expectations are developed through working in this role. They work well independently and stay motivated and efficient throughout their shift.
- **Key Responsibilities & Qualifications**:_
- Proven experience in a similar restaurant environment, working with a number of different ingredients and cooking techniques.
- Accountability for all prep team responsibilities within the culinary operations.
- Strong ability to monitoring prep routines and par levels with the guidance of the Executive Chef and Sous Chef(s) to maintain appropriate stock levels for all business volumes - ensuring only the freshest product is in the building and limiting the amount of waste/spoilage.
- Receiving and accountability for orders coming in from a wide variety of suppliers. Breaking down packaging and storing food to ensure quality maintained.
- Ensure the highest standard of cleanliness & food safety is always being executed through personal guidance and training of staff as well the use of well laid out duties and expectations on a shiftily basis.
- Participate and supervise members of the culinary team; being an active mentor and motivator to direct all members of the operation.
- Assist Executive Chef and Sous Chef(s) by bringing any repair and maintenance needs of all facility & kitchen equipment to their attention.
- Strong desire to develop as a Chef and may act in a leadership role at times when Executive Chef and Sous Chef(s) are unavailable.

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 46 per week
