**The Assignment**

Wanasah: Mental Health Services for Black Youth seeks an experienced Human Resources Consultant to assist in a comprehensive compensation strategy review and update, that aligns with our organizational values and strategic goals.

**Start Date**

The consultancy will commence in **March 2025**.

**About Wanasah**

Wanasah is a new, not-for-profit youth-serving organization in Toronto’s city centre. Created in 2020, specifically to ensure Black youth living with urgent mental health and addictions concerns - and their families - can access dignity-affirming, Black-centric mental health and addictions/ substance use services.

Wanasah aims to address mental health and addictions/ substance use needs of Black youth and their families and reduce barriers to accessing appropriate care. Wanasah recognizes the wellbeing of Black individuals and communities is profoundly impacted by intersecting determinants of health and this is why Wanasah is committed to providing Black youth and their families with person, family, and community-centered mental health and addictions/ substance use services.

**Scope of Work**

Review our compensation policy and our current salary grid and make recommendations for progression and revision.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience with compensation specialist in community based, non-profit organizations.
- Expertise in equity-focused HR practices.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.

**Proposal Requirements**

- Proposed methodology and work plan.
- Budget with a detailed breakdown of fees and expenses.
- Timeline for completion.
