We are hiring experienced bakers and pastry cooks.

This is your opportunity to develop your skill set as a baker and pastry chef. We are recruiting passionate cooks to join our culinary team in the heart of Canada’s wine country in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Shift start times range from early morning to mid-afternoon, our upcoming summer operational hours are 8:00am - 6:00pm.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Learning recipes, company practices and developing baking techniques
- Working alongside other team members & exercising a team mentality in getting tasks completed
- Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area that meets food health & safety standards
- Preparing garnishes, fillings & general production mise en place
- Assists in closing & opening the kitchen properly each shift, following checklists for kitchen stations, working as part of the team and helping where needed
- Meets personal hygiene requirements at the start of each shift. (Wearing clean apron, hat/head cover, non-slip shoes, clean uniform & willingness to sign off on daily wellness check before starting each shift)

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A minimum of 1+ years of experience in commercial baking and/or pastry
- Must be able to communicate clearly and make effective use of shift time
- Be able to reach, bend, and frequently lift 20-60 lbs.
- Be able to stand for majority of shift (mandatory breaks excluded)

**Salary**: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
