Sushi Chef and Hot Kitchen Chef

**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, or hot Japanese dishes with precision and creativity.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepared according to food safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service during peak hours.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing innovative ideas for new sushi offerings.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and food handling best practices.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Sushi or hot kitchen Chef or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, food safety standards, and proper kitchen practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various sushi-making techniques.
- A passion for culinary arts with a focus on Japanese cuisine is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
