**Position**:
Al-Madinah Calgary Islamic Assembly (AMCIA)/ Green Dome Islamic School (GDIS) is dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for our students, staff, and community members. We are seeking a dedicated **Facilities Manager** to oversee the operations of our school facilities, including the gymnasium, booking events/spaces, and building operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Facilities Operations:

- Oversee the daily operations of the entire school building, including the gymnasium, event spaces, classrooms, and exterior areas.

Gymnasium and Hall Bookings:

- Manage hall and gymnasium bookings, ensuring all requests are recorded, scheduled, and coordinated properly.
- Liaise with the public, community groups, and stakeholders to accommodate their needs while maintaining school policies.
- Ensure the hall and gymnasium are prepared, cleaned, and available for each booking.

Report and coordinate maintenance and repairs of the facilities:

- Supervise maintenance and cleaning staff to ensure all areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Coordinate and schedule repairs for mechanical, technical, and electrical systems to ensure seamless building operations.

Event Coordination:

- Be present during events to assist with troubleshooting and ensuring smooth operations.
- Work closely with renters and community members to ensure successful events with mínimal disruption.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Coordinate with Prairie Land School Division, Al-Madinah Calgary Islamic Assembly (AMCIA), and other stakeholders for facility use and operations.
- Ensure seamless communication and collaboration with the school’s staff and Board of Directors.

Public Relations:

- Serve as the main contact for facilities inquiries, bookings, and concerns.
- Maintain positive relationships with renters, event organizers, and the community.

Building Management:

- Monitor the overall condition of the building, including exterior and parking areas.
- Ensure all systems, including HVAC, lighting, and security systems, are functioning properly.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience: Minimum of **3 years** in facility management, building operations, or a related field.
- Computer skills: Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, social media, etc.
- Technical Skills: Should have a technical aptitude to help coordinate with the companies on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, etc. related issues.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written English language communication skills to liaise with the public and stakeholders effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain detailed schedules for bookings and events.
- Interpersonal Skills: Friendly and professional demeanor to work collaboratively with a diverse community.
- Flexibility: Must be available to work a **minimum of 46 hours per week**, **including weekends**. The schedule will vary based on operational needs.

**Conditions of Employment**:

- The applicant must not have another job, business, or other commitments.
- This position requires full dedication and focus to ensure seamless facility operations and event management.

**Salary**:

- The salary for this position is CA$ 65,000.00 - CA$ 75,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
