Job Summary

**Job Description**:

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Coordinate Programmatic grant awards for the CCTG in collaboration with the Grants and Strategic Initiatives Leader. Prepare and coordinate writing and other tasks associated with grant preparation and submission to ensure the overall delivery and success of the Programmatic grant award.
- Lead the overall coordination, development, preparation, and submission of Project Specific awards for the CCTG. Foster collaboration among contributors to the grants and ensure goals are clearly defined and objectives are met within set timelines. Consult with various stakeholders to ensure that funding and scope of project meet the requirements of the CCTG.
- Track projects requiring research support, identify potential funding opportunities, develop timelines, and disseminate information
- Provide expert advice including the analysis of compliance with agency guidelines and participating in the research budget draft led by CCTG Finance. Contribute to grant writing through drafting of research proposals, review and editing of content submitted by others, and through the development of figures and diagrams in the overall conceptualization of the grant.
- Provide project management and administrative support for each grant coordinated. This includes, but is not limited to, development of a critical path, identification of award requirements and timelines, and coordinating meetings between the parties to ensure successful submission of the grant. As part of this process the Grant Coordinator will facilitate collection, updating, tracking and submission in online portals (e.g. ResearchNet, EGrAMS, CAMS, eRA Commons) and ensure all information is collected from all participants.
- Liaise with CCTG Scientific Network Leaders as they collaborate with CCTG OSC on grants. Ensure the exchange of information and results to foster and support collaborative research efforts. Obtain new ideas and contribute to the formulation of hypotheses based on information gathered.
- Ensure pre
- and post-award compliance for all major grants from federal and other granting agencies, including serving as initial point of review to ensure grants and appropriate reporting are consistent and compliant with regulations and policies.
- Advise and consult with CCTG OSC Members on financial and operations requirements of the contract/grant regulations and other relevant individuals of grant-related concerns.
- Develop and manage centralized resources and tools for relevant grant opportunities and requirements, grant development and tracking, SOPs, WKIs, templates, and standard documents (e.g. Knowledge Translation & Mobilization)
- Educate and provide training to CCTG OSC and the CCTG network staff on the grant process and supports in place to operationalize grants. Develop training materials and methods that support successful grant processes and modify as required based on audience.
- Demonstrate commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment, and contribute to a grant process and agenda that is respectful and collaborative.
- Undertake other duties in support of the CCTG grant needs and activities.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- University degree in a relevant field such as Health Sciences, Ethics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in grant preparation and submission procedures
- Demonstrated project management and experience coordinating cross functional teams while managing and delivering on project requirements in a fast paced environment.
- Knowledge of and experience working with clinical research funding organizations and processes considered an asset.
- Demonstrated proficiency with programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project as well as communication tools such as MS Teams and Zoom.
- Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Strong project management skills, ability to manage complex projects.
- Well-developed and confident written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure key aspects of each grant are delivered.
- Experience with proposal review and funder electronic portal requirements.
- Cultural humility skills and/or experience in working with diverse audiences and perspectives.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, listening and collaboration skills.
- Ability to persuade and influence to gain cooperation.
