**Sales Assistant**

**About Us**

We are Restwell Sleep Products, a fast growing privately owned and operated manufacturer and distributor of mattresses, foundations, and other related sleep products. Our manufacturing location is based in Surrey, BC and we are one of Western Canada’s largest privately-owned mattress manufacturers. We supply some of Canada’s largest national retail chains, as well as hundreds of independently owned retail bedding and furniture stores in Western Canada with such well-known brands such as Spring Air, NOVO Sleep, and Pure Energy.

**The Opportunity**

The Sales Assistant will be reporting directly to the Sales Manager - Contract & Hospitality. The incumbent of this role will be responsible for building strong long-term relationships with existing Customers as well as assist in the development of new customers.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Actively cold call to prospect new leads and maintain current leads.
- Develop a positive sales relationship with Customers.
- Support development and implementation of projects related to the sales department.
- Consult with clients after sale or signed contracts to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
- Liaise with Order Entry, Supply Chain, Production, Shipping, and Customers to ensure orders are entered, produced, and shipped on a timely basis.
- Record and submit Sales Orders to the Order Entry Center and verify the accuracy of orders submitted and entered.
- Provide prompt follow-up and resolution to inquiries.
- Anticipate, create, execute, and manage customer communication as required.
- Communicate all order change requests and delays to all parties involved.
- Maintain knowledge of products offered.
- Update & maintain customer profiles.
- Perform other sales support related administrative and clerical duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- 2- 3 years of experience in a similar role either outside or inside sales.
- Excellent people skills both in person and via telephone
- Communication skills including the ability to read, write & speak English.
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task, take direction and perform tasks within specified time frames.
- Customer service focused and outgoing.
- Ability to conduct self in a professional manner.
- Ability to think and work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Experience using CRM systems an asset.
- Completion of related post-secondary education in Sales/Marketing/Business an asset

**Compensation & Benefits**:
**Hours of Work**: This position is part time, Monday to Friday, for 20 hours a week. Hours of work are flexible and can be discussed with the Contract Sales Manager.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
