**ABOUT THE POSITION**:
Are you ready to step into an exciting role where you can make a difference in the world of fashion? We’re on the lookout for a passionate **Assistant Buyer** to join our vibrant team at WANT Boutique

In this dynamic position, you’ll support our Buyer in all facets of the buying, administration, operations, and inventory processes. You’ll work hand-in-hand with our amazing sales team to understand our inventory needs and keep our backstock replenished—because we believe in having the right product at the right time

Your top priority will be generating and analyzing inventory reports and sales data. You’ll play a key role in shaping our product mix, ensuring that we’re always aligned with what our customers desire.

We’re looking for someone with strong communication skills—both verbal and written—who can shine in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with others. You’ll be building important relationships with our brands and suppliers, representing WANT Boutique with excellence and grace.

**COMPETITIVE SALARY** - (compensation will be discussed during the interview and will be based on your experience and skill set)

**JOB DETAILS**:

- Generate and analyze inventory reports (ongoing)
- secure special orders with vendors for clients
- monitor & communicate sales & margins against goals
- monitor stock levels and initiate recommendations for and re-orders, negotiate with vendors for returns & style trade-outs
- monitor buying budgets
- assist and execute merchandise markdowns throughout the sale season
- communicate with marketing coordinator when merchandise needs to be highlighted
- assist in coordinating the acquisition of samples for photoshoots
- assist in creating and writing, submitting, following up with vendor in all things related to purchase orders
- assist in preparation for vendor meetings and buying appointments
- assist during key showroom appointments
- enter purchase orders into inventory system and organize supporting documents
- assist with cancelations, product changes, price changes
- ensure invoices get to bookkeeper
- re-order inventory for store
- organize audits and conduct physical inspection of inventory when required
- assist in shipping and import compliance for domestic and international shipments
- troubleshoot when technical issues arise
- Other admin duties as assigned

**TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS**:

- **Microsoft Office: Intermediate**
- Ability to Learn our inventory software
- Ability to learn Shopify
