**POSITION PURPOSE**:
The Technical Specialist is the technical resource to complete onboarding activities. As the technical resource of the team this individual will be responsible for an array of customer projects, complex onboarding activities, and coordinate & execute customer-facing projects that are necessary for the business to complete.

The Technical Specialist is responsible for all technical portions of the project. This individual will be performing the technical work or provide appropriate information to the SME team to complete their work in a timely fashion. They will need to assist and coordinate the completion of any closed won opportunity.

**ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Performs basic and complex provisioning tasks
- Documents operational runbooks and other pertinent information that is required to provide day-to-day support of our customers new/ upgraded environments
- Lead the technical planning and technical implementation of onboarding
- Ensure that all projects meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Partner cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, Product, Support, NetOps and other teams to deliver according to established project timelines.
- Along with SMEs, participate and gather details in scoping calls for potential projects.

**Requirements**:
**DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum of 5 years of professional server administration
- Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills are required
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Expert knowledge of Internet and networking technologies
- Proficient with virtual environments such as VMware, AWS Azure, and GCP
- Assist in creating technical solutions for Dedicated Server clients such as upgrade and migration plans
- Advanced server administration on Windows and Linux systems
- Advanced public cloud administration
- Advanced firewall administration and troubleshooting
- Advanced load balancer configuration and troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently or as a team to approach problems creatively and resolve them in an effective and timely manner
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
