Gallery Workshop Assistant

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide assistance and execution of art gallery services including but not limited to:
- Matt cutting
- Glass cutting
- Art work assembly
- Packing & Shipping of artwork
- Building and assembling wood crates
- Artwork installation
- Pick up and delivery of artworks and workshop supplies
- Lifting, storing and handling artworks and delicate or fragile items
- Receive and direct visitors and clients where required
- Other duties as assigned
WORKSHOP AND CARPENTRY SKILLS
- Knowledge and experience with power tools
- Knowledge and experience with air compressor tools, including nail guns and screw guns
- Experience with table saws, miter saws, double miter saws
GENERAL WORK EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Experience in the art industry an asset
- General computer skills
- Extreme attention to detail and accuracy
- High organizational skills/Time management
- Ability to multitask, problem solve and prioritize
- Self Sufficient, self-motivated
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
