Shipper/ Receiver
Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for a Shipper / Receiver position. Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide.
**JOB SUMMARY**:
Complete shipping and receiving activities in accordance with standard operating procedures or special procedures, as directed.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Shipping & Receiving
Assure incoming boxes, cartons and crates are in good external condition on receipt;
Verify incoming orders are complete and correct to purchase order requirements and/or packing lists;
Receive/confirm ship goods to and from inventory using the Fike business system;
Document and report discrepancies and non-conformances;
Assure newly received product or material is segregated from stock product until after inspection and certification by Quality Assurance;
Assure that received product is clearly and properly identified before being placed into stock;
Review reports on a daily basis to insure product is shipped on time;
Responsible for material receipts inspection and receiving cross training on QA duties such as Certified Individual (CI);
Package and ship goods per packing lists and Fike standard procedures;
Assure the correct goods are shipped to the correct address per packing lists;
Regular and consistent on time attendance is required;
Complete on-line waybills for pick-up of shipments using carrier portals;
Assures that copy of completed packing list and waybill are forwarded to the front office daily after goods have been shipped;
Complete shipping/inventory related processes in Fike business system per standard procedures;
General Maintenance & Cleaning
Replace light bulbs & fluorescent tubes as necessary;
Keep shipping area, employee entrance walkway, employee locker room, and plant washroom clean and unobstructed;
Empty lunch room and plant garbage cans into dumpster;
Clear sidewalks of snow, salt and sand as necessary.
General Duties
Drive company truck for pickups and deliveries;
Immediately report any unsafe practices or situations to a Supervisor or Manager;
Work carefully and cautiously in order not to injure themselves or any other personnel;
Perform other duties as assigned.
**EDUCATION & TRAINING**:
Grade 10 O.S.S. or equivalent
Above average computer skills are required
Must possess a valid driver’s license in order to perform deliveries using the company truck and maintain a good driving record
Must be licensed to operate a forklift in a safe and responsible manner
Completion of at least two weeks direct supervisory training on the job at Fike
**EXPERIENCE**:
2 years minimum related experience preferred but not necessary.
