Shipper/ Receiver
Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for a Shipper / Receiver position. Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide.
**JOB SUMMARY**:
Complete shipping and receiving activities in accordance with standard operating procedures or special procedures, as directed.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Shipping & Receiving
Perform receiving inspection on incoming goods (may include visual, physical and dimensional inspections);
Verify all received goods against master pick lists, packing lists or purchase orders;
Assure newly received product or material is segregated from stock product until it has passed inspection and certification;
Assure that received product is clearly and properly identified before it is placed into stock;
Assure that goods shipped are properly packaged per Operating procedures;
Immediately stop and then report to a Supervisor or Manager any practice or situation that they feel is unsafe;
Work carefully and cautiously in order not to injure themselves or any other personnel;
Package and ship goods per packing lists;
Regular and consistent on time attendance is required;
Use carrier portals to complete on-line waybills and schedule shipments;
Assure that copy of completed packing list and waybill are forwarded to the front office daily after goods have been shipped;
Load/unload trucks and transfer material in the facility using forklift in a safe manner;
Complete customs documentation for International shipments;
Complete assigned Fike business systems processes per standard procedures;
A valid Ontario driver’s license is required and MUST maintain a good driving record;
Drive plant truck for pickups and deliveries;
Perform other duties as assigned.
General Maintenance & Cleaning
Keep shipping office, shipping area, employee entrance walkway, clean, neat, tidy and swept;
Empty cafeteria and plant garbage cans into dumpster (as needed);
Shovel snow, clear sidewalks, salt and sand as necessary.
**EDUCATION & TRAINING**:
Grade 10 O.S.S. or equivalent
Above average computer skills are required
Must possess a valid driver’s license in order to perform deliveries using the company truck
Must be licensed to operate a forklift in a safe and responsible manner
At least two weeks direct supervisory training on the job at Fike
**EXPERIENCE**:
2 years minimum related experience
