**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Server Administration and Maintenance**: Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot server hardware and software, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
- **System Monitoring and Optimization**: Proactively monitor server performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and reliability.
- **Incident Response and Resolution**: Quickly diagnose and resolve server-related issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
- **Security and Patch Management**: Implement and maintain robust security measures for server infrastructure, including patch management, vulnerability scanning, and access controls.
- **Capacity Planning and Upgrades**: Forecast future server capacity needs, plan and execute server upgrades, and ensure scalability to meet growing business demands.
- **Documentation and Knowledge Sharing**: Maintain comprehensive documentation of server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides, and share knowledge with team members to enhance collective expertise.
**Leadership and Competencies**:
To excel as the Systems Admin Lead at BURNCO, you will:
- **Technical Mastery**: Possess in-depth knowledge of server operating systems, virtualization technologies, and hardware platforms.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Demonstrate exceptional troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues under pressure.
- **Automation and Scripting**: Leverage automation and scripting tools to streamline server management tasks and improve efficiency.
- **Communication Skills**: Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- **Team Leadership**: Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in server administration or a related role.
- 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring a team of system administrators.
- Industry certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, VCP) are a plus.
**Additional Requirements**:
- Valid passport to enable travel to US operations as needed.
