**Job description**
**Safety Administrator**
**Office Location : 261006 High Plains Way, Rocky View AB (Balzac Area)**
The primary accountability of this position is to provide administrative support to the safety department. Looking for someone interested in building themselves a long term career potential.
The selected applicant may be required to come to Edmonton for approximately one week for on the job training at the Edmonton Head Office.
**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the safety administration and supporting the Health, Safety Manager
- Accountable for the documentation and record keeping of safety related matters including safety files and records, both paper & electronically
- Assists with the preparation of Audits, COR safety audits
- Review submitted safety documentation
- Assists with developing weekly safety meeting material and participates in weekly
- Respond to requests for safety information (internal or external requests)
- Maintain tool room supplies and order appropriate supplies for the safety department
- Assist/perform with site visits
- Assist with incident investigations
- Assist with maintaining stock and cleanliness of the tool crib
- Assist with Fleet Management
- Perform other related duties as required
**Qualifications**
- **Valid Drivers License - Comfortable driving a pick up truck**:
- **Willingness to be at heights**:
- MS Office skills are essential (e. Excel, Word, etc.)
- Motivated self-starter
- Reliable and dependable attendance
- Ability to participate as an effective team member, supporting departmental/organizational goals and objectives
- Strong work ethic, organizational and planning skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- First Aid and Fall Protection are an asset but not required
- Performing site visits of the roof - working at heights is a requirement
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
