**Summary**

E Construction is now hiring an experienced Roller Operator for various worksites throughout Northern Alberta for the 2025 construction season
**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate the rollers and other heavy equipment in a safe manner. Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
- Determine the speed and direction of the machines so that ridges do not form from excessive pressure.
- Use hand roller or portable power roller to pound surfaces not accessible to road roller. Operator self-propelled steel-wheeled or other types of rollers.
- Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the Roller.
- Must ensure a solid understanding of and comply with the principles of the company's Code of Ethics.
- Other quality control related duties as required.
**Qualifications | Requirements**
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Class 5 Driver's License.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience within the road construction industry.
- 2 - 3 years experience operating a Roller, Finish Roller experience preferred.
**Working Conditions**
- Weather dependent schedule of Monday to Saturday, up to 12 hours per day. Overtime is paid in accordance with local employment standards legislation.
- Work is preformed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
- Out of town travel may be required. Accommodations and Live Out Allowance (LOA) is applicable in most situations.
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis. Use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is required.
- Use of Sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended.
- Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
