Host/hostess- Milestones Grill + Bar

**Milestones** **Grill **+ **Bar** is located on the Mezzanine level of the Marriott on the Falls directly overlooking Niagara Falls. Our full service restaurant and bar provides an upscale, cool and casual atmosphere. Whether our Guest is traveling on business or taking much needed vacation, our mission is to always exceed the expectations of our guest.

**Job Summary**

We are currently looking for outgoing and enthusiastic Hostesses/Hosts to join our Milestones Grill + Bar team. The Milestones Grill + Bar Host/Hostess will approach our guests in an attentive, friendly and service-oriented manner and provide each guest with a dining experience that will be remembered long after their stay.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Warmly welcome guests and escort guests promptly to their assigned dining area.
- Manage the seating chart and flow of the guests in the dining and bar area.
- Provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if required.
- Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and take reservations.
- Check menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and accuracy of event signage.
- Share your menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests.
- Ensure place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and any other item that is part of the standard place setting.
- Clean tables, complete closing duties and re-stock tableware and other supplies.
- Thank every guest as they are leaving.
- Attend daily stand-up meetings at start of shift.
- Work safely and in compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Perform any and all other tasks, which are assigned by management.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Previous experience coordinating booking, confirmation, and table allocations.
- Great conversational skills and teamwork-oriented individual.
- Positive and outgoing personality.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professional composure at all times, regardless of issue, while performing multiple tasks with multiple guests/ items/products.
- Previous equivalent experience in a dining room environment.
- Outstanding attention to detail - both personal grooming/appearance and in properly identifying guest’s needs, demeanor, and level of required service attention.
- Ability to quickly respond to changing work volume; high-energy level/speed.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Must be available holidays and weekends.
