Summary
Reporting to the Pricing Manager, Canada, this position is responsible for costing, pricing and system updates for our Toronto Catering Centre. The Pricing Specialist will also be expected to ensure the organization adheres to contracting regulations and will need to be proficient with the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
Job Duties
- Ensure cost and pricing updates are completed in our online portal, accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain, manage and update established costing and pricing methodologies.
- Analyze cost, pricing and profitability by customer and develop improvement strategies.
- Assist in assembling tenders, bids, P&Ls, and pricing updates
- Support Senior Management in analysis of pricing negotiations.
- Work with Menu Development Team and Procurement to analyze and cost menu offerings that meet customer and company goals
- Prepare monthly theoretical food cost report, material consumption and variance review
- Provide costing and pricing support for menu presentations, menu changes and workshops
- Manage and maintain customer cost and pricing files
- Participate and assist in company projects and initiatives where pricing is required
- Assist, support and lead process improvements for cost saving and profitability improvement.
- Stay updated and current on pricing trends and methodology improvements.
- Perform additional assignments and duties as required.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or related operations field
- Relevant experience in a pricing role within the food or hospitality industry.
- Food and Beverage cost control experience would be an asset.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organization and written skills for reports and presentations
- Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on advanced Excel
- Experience using and managing data in company ERP systems
- Strong mathematical skills with ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages and averages required.
- A well-defined attention to detail
- A sense of diplomacy to maintain confidentiality of information
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team and independently.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
Working Conditions
- Some travel may be required.
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.

**Salary**: $46,083.42-$66,956.60 per year
Schedule:
