New Leaf is a not-for-profit social service agency located north of Newmarket, providing supported living and day supports to adults with developmental disabilities. New Leaf’s mission is to provide a safe home to, and enrich the lives of, individuals with development disabilities in a unique sensory and natural environment as we assist individuals to live and work as valued members of society and the community. We endeavor to provide quality supports and services that offer a rural option to individuals with intellectual disability, dual-diagnosis, and/or other complex needs.

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated Manager of Supported Living to oversee our supported living programs. This role will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring quality care for the people we support, and leading a team of support staff. The Manager of Supported Living will play a crucial role in promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing for individuals with complex needs. This position reports to the Director of Services.
- Overall management and supervision of a portfolio of programs within New Leaf
- Supervise and support a team of support workers, ensuring they provide high-quality care and support services.
- Coordinate and oversee daily operations of the supported living programs, including scheduling, budget management, and resource allocation
- Maintain compliance with Ministry requirements and organizational policies and procedures
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support services and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the highest standards of care
- Advocate for the rights of people we support and promote a person-centered approach to care
- Ensure the Health and Safety of people we support through compliance to Provincial and Municipal regulations and by-laws
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes independence, safety, diversity, equity and inclusion, mutual respect and respect for environment
- Provide continuous mentoring, coaching, training and professional development of all employees
- Other duties in the Supported Living, as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or degree in human or social services, or related field (University degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a supported living or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of person-centered planning and principles of supported living
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in employee engagement, performance management, budgeting and quality improvement coupled with knowledge of strategic planning and organizational culture.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with people we support, families, staff and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards governing supported living programs and community-based services in Ontario’s developmental services sector.
- Working knowledge of related legislation and regulations such as Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Developmental Services Act
- Experience in a unionized setting and the interpretation of Collective Agreements
- Working knowledge of MCCSS Journey to Belonging and community resources relevant to serving adults with developmental disabilities in Ontario
- Strong computer skills including service delivery databases; MS Teams and Microsoft products.
- A valid G driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Proof of Full COVID-19 vaccination
