**Founded in 2007, Quality Machining and Automation (QMA) is one of the leading in high precision machining in Ontario. We are equipped with over 8,000 square feet of state-of-the-art machinery and capable of running production 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.**

**Thanks to our large, multi-platform machining facility (which includes 5-Axis, CNC Vertical and CNC lathe machining centres) we serve a wide variety of North American manufacturing industries such as Aerospace, Automotive and Military/Defense. We are certified ISO 9100 and TS certified, plus controlled goods.**

**Duties And Responsibilities**:

- Operate manual Lathe machine and other miscellaneous machine shop equipment
- Perform grinding, handwork duties on machined parts
- Monitor and verify the accuracy of each job’s initial setup, and final outcome
- Study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements to maximize efficiencies and reduce costs
- Interpret engineering drawings and machine accordingly to include proper methodology, tooling, cutting speeds and feeds in order to generate quality parts in accordance with production and quality standards
- Communicate with Supervisor, Engineers, Production, Quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining, production or quality issues
- Within the scope of the job requirements, required to adhere to and comply with the Company Quality program and procedures, Company policies and Health, Safety and Environmental policies/regulations
- All other duties as assigned by Supervisor, which may include creating jigs, fixtures or tools for other areas of the shop

**EDUCATION**:
General Machinist or other related trade certification

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Manual Lathe and Mill experience.
- Handwork & Grinding experience required.
- Minimum 5 years experience operating manual machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Forklift license an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
