**The Role**

We are currently looking for a CNC Boring Mill Machinist to join our growing team This position reports to the Assistant Plant Manager and is based at our Passmore facility.

The CNC Boring Mill Operator is responsible for effectively and accurately machining parts on CNC Boring Mill.

This is a full-time position on the **day or afternoon shift**.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Create and fabricate metal parts as required by the specifications;
- Setup and operate CNC Boring Mill in accordance with approved safe work procedures;
- Work from process sheets, blueprints, and/or verbal instructions;
- Maintain a safe and clean work area, report any broken pieces of equipment;
- Read micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.;
- Check for tolerances.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience working with CNC TOS Boring Mill or Toshiba Boring Mill;
- Must have experience working with Heidenhain, Tosnuc or Fanuc controls;
- Must be comfortable working with large parts;
- High school education, as well as technical knowledge, are required. Basic trigonometry knowledge is an asset;
- Ability to use measuring instruments such as edge finder, micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, thread gauges, gauge blocks, dial indicators, surface tester, etc.;
- Knowledge of drilling, tapping and milling tools, as well as their respective parameters;
- Experience in manual programming of CNC machines and understanding of the G-code programming are assets.
