We are currently looking for a Manager, Blue Diamond Weddings to foster a dynamic team of wedding consultants capable of achieving a wide range of goals pursuant to those of the Destination Weddings & Events department. The role will manage a staff dedicated to delivering a great customer experience during the wedding planning process while pursuing opportunities for significant growth. The position reports to the Director of Weddings and Business Development.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Manage a team consisting of wedding consultants, specialists, team leads, and a supervisor - average 20 staff
- Implement various organizational strategies to manage and achieve both individual and group goals
- Conduct biweekly individual one on one meetings
- Oversee biweekly team meetings
- Strong focus on wedding consultant client relationships to encourage a better client experience
- Responsible for recruiting and hiring suitable individuals within a growing department
- Responsible for overseeing and supporting the wedding planning training and development program
- Drive employee satisfaction with open and regular communications and encouraging, acknowledging, and rewarding EPIC individual and team performance
- Ensure the team has the tools, training and processes needed to respond to customer’s needs quickly and efficiently
- Oversee training schedules and execution for all new staff.
- Provide ongoing coaching and re-enforcement of processes, procedures, customer service, and system skills to the Blue Diamond Weddings team.
- Lead by instilling a positive, fair, and steadfast working environment
- Engage with Blue Diamond Weddings sales team to grow sales and increase wedding revenue.
- Participate in monthly meetings with the Corporate Weddings and Groups department.
- Oversee consultant’s wedding assignments and report monthly numbers.
- Coordinate with supervisor, specialists and team leads to reduce client escalations and improve overall customer relations.
- Handle customer service escalations when needed
- Foster relationships with on-site Blue Diamond Wedding managers to further program development
- Grow and maintain strong relationships with internal and external vendors
- Stay up to date on current destination wedding trends to stay at the forefront of a competitive market
- Provide feedback on general market trends and direct competitors through monthly competitive analysis
- Work closely with the Director of Weddings and Business Development on all aspects of the office relating to the Blue Diamond weddings team.

- Attendance monitoring and reporting (including scheduling vacation, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned

**What You’ll Need**:

- Minimum of 3 years supervisory or management experience required
- Experience managing large groups of people
- Destination wedding, travel, hotel or event experience an asset
- Minimum college diploma in related field
- Strong people management skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Creative thinking
- Experience with Travelworks an asset
- Multitasking abilities and time management are critical
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Great team player with a positive attitude
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Demonstrates initiative and is receptive to change
- Knowledge of telephony systems
